Dalyce brings more than 20 years of experience in education and has spent the past 12 years teaching in International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) schools. She holds a Bachelor of Education from York University, a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Trent University, and an Early Childhood Education diploma from Fleming College. Committed to continuous professional growth, Dalyce has completed a range of IB professional learning workshops, most recently the Role of the Coordinator workshop. She believes the early years lay the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.

Having taught in Canada, the United Arab Emirates, China, Oman, Kazakhstan, and Vietnam, Dalyce has developed a flexible and culturally responsive approach to teaching. These experiences have strengthened her belief in the importance of building inclusive classrooms, valuing student voice, and fostering curiosity through inquiry. She believes every child can succeed when they feel seen, supported, and appropriately challenged.

For Dalyce, Grade 1 is an exciting stage where curiosity, confidence, and independence begin to flourish. Through the IB Primary Years Programme, students learn by asking questions, exploring ideas, and making real-world connections. She creates engaging learning experiences that encourage students to take risks, collaborate with others, and develop the skills they need to become confident, lifelong learners.

Dalyce believes personalized learning begins with truly knowing each student. By listening to student voices, encouraging collaboration, and adapting learning experiences to meet individual needs, she creates a classroom where every child feels supported, challenged, and empowered to take ownership of their learning. Her goal is for every student to leave Grade 1 with greater confidence, independence, and a genuine excitement for learning.

An avid traveler, Dalyce enjoys exploring new cultures, perspectives, and ways of life. Her experiences around the world have strengthened her curiosity and open-mindedness, qualities she brings into the classroom every day as she encourages students to become compassionate, globally minded learners.
