Teaching Philosophy Shaped by Global Experience

Tatiana’s 9+ years of teaching experience across different countries have profoundly influenced her pedagogical approach. Exposure to diverse educational cultures has cultivated her flexibility and adaptability, enabling her to navigate varied classroom environments while integrating global perspectives into her curriculum design. These experiences have empowered her to create a learning space that values inquiry, cultural awareness, and scientific literacy.

Personal Influences & Inspirations

In the classroom, she often incorporates WWYS (What Would You Say?) questions, a communication approach used by the Stanford Graduate School of Business and featured in Think Fast, Talk Smart: Communication Techniques. This strategy helps students reflect on new content, make connections, engage meaningfully in discussions, and encourages critical thinking. Her practice is also shaped by her love of reading influential science authors such as Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring and Helen Czerski’s Storm in a Teacup, whose ability to explore complex phenomena with clarity and curiosity continually inspires both her teaching and her own scientific thinking.

Maintaining Balance

She achieves balance in her intellectual, physical, and emotional well-being through a variety of activities. Playing sports such as badminton and basketball helps her stay active and provides an enjoyable way to relieve stress. She also enjoys visiting parks and spending time in nature, which offers a calming environment that supports emotional wellness and reflection.
