With more than 11 years of experience in international education, Joseph Grande brings extensive expertise in physical education, sports science, and athletic leadership. Holding degrees in Sports Sciences, Sports Physiology, and International Education, along with IB Workshop Leader accreditation and extensive IB professional learning, Joseph is passionate about creating athletic programs that encourage every student to challenge themselves and experience the lifelong value of physical activity.
Creating Opportunities for Every Student
Teaching always felt like a natural path for Joseph. As the oldest of a large family of cousins, he was constantly organizing football matches, basketball games, rugby games, and outdoor adventures. Looking back, he realizes he was already creating opportunities for young people long before he became a teacher.
That same philosophy has followed him throughout his career. One of his proudest achievements was establishing the first girls' football team at his previous school. In a community where football had traditionally been reserved for boys, he worked with colleagues to create new opportunities for female students. For Joseph, the greatest success wasn't the results on the field, it was creating opportunities that had never existed before.

Being international is a huge part of who Joseph is. Having studied abroad, lived in different countries, and built his career overseas, he has developed a deep appreciation for different cultures and perspectives. These experiences have taught him the importance of adaptability, empathy, and understanding others, values he hopes to pass on to every student as they grow into open-minded global citizens
