Peter brings over 20 years of international teaching experience to Dwight School Hanoi, with a career that spans the United States, China, Poland, and Bangladesh. Although originally trained to teach high school English, a last-minute assignment to a primary class, thanks to his Spanish fluency, revealed his true passion for working with younger learners. He has been inspiring children through music ever since.

Teaching Philosophy

Peter strongly believes that every child has a unique spark waiting to be discovered. Through close observation, encouragement, and differentiated instruction, he helps students uncover their strengths and express themselves confidently through music.

A Global Approach to Music

By teaching music genres from around the world, Peter opens doors for students to explore global cultures. His lessons help children build cultural understanding while developing musicality and creativity.

Performance & Collaboration

Peter has been involved in student performances since the start of his career and brings that passion into every school he works with. He loves seeing students work together. One of his proudest moments was watching a mixed-grade orchestra recognize a missed cue and adjust perfectly without teacher direction, showing true musical teamwork.
