Hanh Duong, IB MYP/DP Vietnamese Language Teacher - Dwight School Hanoi
Dwight School Hanoi Lion in Blue

Hanh’s love for language and literature is closely tied to her curiosity about people and society. She often reads books by young authors to explore their perspectives and approaches, as their writing reflects diverse social realities and changing values. She also enjoys travelling to different cultural regions in Vietnam and abroad, experiencing local traditions and ways of life. These experiences deepen her understanding of language in context and enrich the examples she brings into the classroom.

In the Classroom

Hanh enjoys creating role-playing missions, drama activities, and literary adaptations so that students can “step into” the world of a text rather than just read about it. Through performance and creative interpretation, her students develop confidence, collaboration skills, and a deeper emotional connection with literature.

Professional Inspiration

Hanh is strongly influenced by Teacher Nguyen Xuan Khang and his educational views. His focus on humane, student-centered education guides her to listen carefully to learners, respect their individuality, and support their growth both academically and personally.

Life Beyond Teaching

To maintain balance, Hanh stays active by playing badminton regularly and maintaining a healthy approach to screen time. Physical activity and mindful use of technology help her stay energised, focused, and ready to give her best to students each day.
