It was amazing to have a full week in school, with students engaging in creative and meaningful learning across Numeracy, Literacy, and Units of Inquiry.
Here are some fun learning experiences from Grades 1-5 that reflect inquiry:
Exploring the importance of feedback—both giving and receiving—through the inspiring example of Austin’s Butterfly.
Playing the food chain game to understand the energy transfer within the ecosystem.
Showing understanding of addition within 10 in a variety of ways.
Sharing of baby pictures and using their "Life Timeline" to sort pictures from different life stages.
Integrating music and drama to explore how to express feelings through facial expressions and body movements. Altogether, it was a joyful week of learning, reflection, and self-expression.
