SUMMER AT DWIGHT 2026 (KINDERGARTEN TO GRADE 8)
Following the success of last year’s program, Summer at Dwight returns for its second year, offering students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 a dynamic and enriching summer learning experience. Open to everyone, whether you are a current Dwight School Hanoi student, a new student joining our community, or a friend of Dwight, the program is designed and taught by Dwight School Hanoi teachers. This student-centered, inquiry-based program provides engaging opportunities to explore new ideas, deepen subject understanding, and build confidence, all while enjoying the energy and creativity of summer learning.
The program runs Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, providing a full day of purposeful activities and meaningful learning experiences. Two sessions will be offered, and students may choose to attend either one or both.
Session 1: June 15 – June 26, 2026 (2 weeks)

Summer at Dwight - Kindergarten Program Description 2026
Mini-Master Chefs
In this food-tastic Summer at Dwight cooking program, young chefs will embark on an exciting culinary adventure, exploring a variety of ingredients while learning about food groups and essential nutrients. Through hands-on experiences, they will develop confidence using simple cooking tools, practice fundamental techniques, and follow easy yet delicious recipes. Throughout the program, students will document their culinary journey by writing and illustrating the steps of the cooking process, as well as creating colorful drawings of ingredients and kitchen tools. By the end of the program, each student will take home a personalized cookbook filled with their own recipes and cooking tips—a wonderful keepsake to inspire future culinary creations!
The Upcycle Factory
In The Upcycle Factory, young creators will embark on a hands-on adventure, transforming everyday materials into imaginative play spaces. Each day, a new theme—like Funfair, Space, or Castles & Forts—will inspire teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving as students design, build, and decorate their upcycled masterpieces. Through engaging literacy and numeracy activities, they will explore concepts of recycling, sustainability, and environmental responsibility. This playful and immersive program encourages collaboration, curiosity, and a deeper appreciation for the world around us!
The Learning Playground
- Session 1: Get ready to dive into a world of discovery where science, creativity, and nature come to life! This hands-on program sparks curiosity through interactive exploration, open-ended materials, and playful experimentation, encouraging young learners to engage their senses and think like scientists.
- Session 2: Step into a learning adventure where literacy and math come alive through play! In this dynamic and immersive program, students will explore numbers, shapes, and words in an exciting, interactive environment—building skills effortlessly while having endless fun!
Sport & Swimming
Each day at Summer at Dwight students will participate in programming designed to promote physical development, coordination, and confidence through dynamic sports and activities. With a focus on strengthening motor skills, agility, and overall fitness, students will engage in a variety of fun and challenging exercises that encourage movement and teamwork. Each week, the program alternates between swimming and sports, providing a well-rounded experience that keeps students active, engaged, and excited to learn new skills.

Each day will also feature thrilling sports and team challenges, making this the ultimate blend of brainpower and physical fun!

Summer Sparks: Science & Art
Get ready for an exciting fusion of creativity and discovery! In this dynamic program, young learners will dive into the wonders of science and art through hands-on experiments and imaginative craft projects. From bubbling volcanoes to stretchy slime, students will explore scientific principles in thrilling ways. At the same time, they’ll unleash their artistic talents with origami, clay modeling, painting, stamp art, and mixed-media creations. This engaging program nurtures curiosity, problem-solving, and self-expression—making learning an adventure full of color, creativity, and fun!
Around the world in 10 Days
Pack your passports and get ready for a global adventure! In this hands-on, interactive camp, students will "travel" to different countries each day, exploring cultures through food, music, arts & crafts, language, and geography. From creating international dishes to designing traditional crafts and learning fun cultural dances, this camp brings the world to life! Along the way, students will track their journey with personalized passports, calculate travel distances, and uncover exciting global facts. A perfect mix of creativity, learning, and fun!
Vietnamese Culture Adventure
Embark on an exciting journey through Vietnam’s rich traditions, legends, and flavors! Designed for students in Grades 3 & 4, this immersive program blends arts, storytelling, games, and cooking to bring Vietnamese culture to life—all while building confidence in English communication.

Innovator Lab: Science, Design & Art
Building on curiosity and creativity, this hands-on program challenges students to explore scientific concepts through design thinking and artistic expression. Students will plan, test, and refine ideas through engaging experiments, engineering challenges, and creative art projects. With a focus on problem-solving, collaboration, and reflection, Innovator Lab encourages students to think critically while expressing their ideas creatively.
Global Explorers: Culture, Geography & Global Issues
This inquiry-based program challenges students to move beyond exploration and into comparison and analysis. Students will examine cultures around the world through geography, economics, traditions, and global challenges. Through research tasks, mapping activities, and collaborative projects, students will analyze similarities and differences between countries and present their findings using academic vocabulary and visual tools.
Vietnam in a Global World
This immersive program explores Vietnam’s rich cultural heritage through a more reflective and analytical lens. Students will engage with legends, festivals, traditional games, arts, and cuisine while strengthening their English communication skills. MYP Mathematics
This course introduces MYP mathematical topics and problem-solving skills that will support the extension of student development for success in MYP Mathematics.
Introduction to topics will include:

Sharpen Your Writing Skills: MYP English Extension
In this course, students will build a strong foundation in writing by starting with clear, well-structured sentences and growing into confident paragraph writers. From there, they will learn how to organize their thoughts, support their ideas, and craft powerful essays. Through fun and frequent reading and writing practice, students will become more skilled and confident writers—ready to take on middle school and beyond!
MYP Musical Theatre
Our Summer Performing Arts Enrichment Program will provide an immersive experience in singing, dancing, acting, and scenic design for both older students in a half-day program and younger students in a full-day setting. Designed to foster creativity, confidence, and collaboration, the program will offer high-level training in the performing arts while ensuring a fun and engaging summer experience. The program will culminate in a Black Box Theater performance, which will highlight each student’s growth and showcase our commitment to artistic excellence.
Creative Sparks: MYP Art Studio
Get inspired, get messy, and get creative! In this hands-on visual arts course, students will explore the foundations of art-making while discovering their own unique artistic voice. Using the MYP framework, students will experiment with a variety of materials and techniques — from drawing and painting to collage and mixed media. Alongside studio work, they will engage with artist inspiration and develop their ability to reflect and speak about art. Dive into excellence with our specialized swimming program for Grades 7–8. Students will train in our world-class, six-lane pool, focusing on refining techniques across various strokes and achieving personal bests. Manchester City Football School - Summer at Dwight
Experience elite football training through our exclusive Manchester City Football School program, tailored for students in Grades 7–8.
Participants will:
